Skin cancer, in particular melanoma, is a serious health burden in Queensland, Australia where residents have one of the highest rates of skin cancer in the world. The sun’s ultraviolet (UV) radiation is the main cause of skin cancer. Using sun protective measures such as avoiding the sun during peak UV hours and using sunscreen is a simple and effective way to reduce your risk of developing skin cancer. This study aims to help you protect yourself from getting too much sun exposure.
